American Horror Story: Roanoke just might be the new gold standard when it comes to a game-changing twist that changes everything—and the reason you could fall off your couch on Wednesday night.
E! News has learned that starting this week, for the first time in American Horror Story (TV?) history, the show’s core cast—including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates—will start playing different roles halfway through the season. “It’s a radical twist, a completely new form of storytelling,” co-creator Ryan Murphy tells E! News of the episode, which catapults the show into an entirely different direction.
Plus, some long-awaited news for fans: Taissa Farmiga is back! And we will finally get to seeFinn Wittrock return and play the “most f–ked-up character of all time,” according to Murphy, who also teases some deliciousness ahead for fan favorite Evan Peters. Evan and Taissa and Finn and a mind-blowing twist…It’s the stuff that (f–ked-up) dreams are made of, y’all.

Finn Wittrock is coming back soon, playing his most f–ked-up character of all time. To the point where he was like, ‘This is so crazy that I don’t know that I can do it, but I’ll do it.’ And Taissa Farmiga is coming back for the first time ever since Coven, in I think a really, really great part and we love her. We’re very excited—she’s a part of our world and always will be, and I always wanted her to come back.

Variety-‘Captain America’s’ Sebastian Stan to Star in ‘We Have Always Lived in the Castle’ Movie
Marvel universe star Sebastian Stan has come on board the independent thriller “We Have Always Lived in the Castle,” with shooting starting in Dublin.
Taissa Farmiga, Alexandra Daddario, Joanne Crawford and Willem Dafoe are also starring in a Further Films production in association with Great Point Media. Producers are Michael Douglas, Jared Goldman, Robert Mitas and Robert Halmi, Jr.
Stacie Passon is directing from a script she wrote with Mark Kroger, adapted from Shirley Jackson’s horror novel about an isolated family which has lost four members to poisoning and uses rituals and talismans to keep itself away from hostile townspeople. Stan will play a distant cousin, intent on maliciously securing the family’s fortune whose arrival sets in motion the uncovering of family secrets.
The novel was published in 1962 and was adapted into a play in 1966 by Hugh Wheeler.
Stan plays James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes/Winter Soldier in the three Captain America movies and will appear in “Avengers: Infinity War” next year. He also appeared in “The Martian” and recently wrapped “I’m Not Here” with Maika Monroe and J.K. Simmons.

A mysterious drifter named Paul and his dog Abbie make their way towards Mexico through the barren desert of the old west. In an attempt to shorten their journey they cut through the center of a large valley, landing themselves in the forgotten town of Denton, a place now dubbed by locals as a “valley of violence.” The once popular mining town is nearly abandoned, and is controlled by a brash group of misfits and nitwits—chief among them the seemingly untouchable Gilly, who is the troublemaking son of the town’s unforgiving Marshal. As tensions rise between Paul and Gilly, Denton’s remaining residents bear witness to an inevitable act of violence that starts a disastrous chain reaction, infecting the petty lives of all involved and quickly dragging the whole town into the bloody crosshairs of revenge.
